Mother Nature

Mother nature is really turning up the heat on her children. You know we all have opinions and in my opinion the message is loud and clear. Wake up, wake up little one's. It is time to get up from your sleep of me me me. It's time to show compassion and love toward everyone.

When are we going to get it that love should be the litmus test for everything we do. How can there be an argument about people getting health care. How can we watch people sleeping in the park, just living on the street and just keep walking. We certainly are not being "The Good Samaritan" are we.

Let's try being more like the "Good Samaritan" and change our world for the better.

My God Is Awesome

Wow, I feel the awesome presence of the Holy Spirit this morning! I don't know if I can fully describe this feeling. And no everything in my life is not perfect. I have ups and downs like everyone else.

I guess it's sort of like being in love with your first boyfriend or girlfriend. Everything seems Rosy. You feel so wonderful inside and you can't wait to see them again.

Well I feel like that way about my Father (God). He is like the sweet smell of roses when there's a gentle breeze in the air. But even without the breeze you still can smell the roses.

Even though the world maybe falling apart all around you and your life maybe in chaos, there is the scent of the roses. I love him more and more everyday.

His love for me is unending and knowing this I can soar like eagles.
I can run and not faint. If you are thinking about what you might want next in your life, He is a must have and should be first on your list.

Peace

Freedom To Be!

As I look at the beautiful sky today, it seems to call to me. The gentle wind brushes across my face as if to say, come play. I have now been on this earth 54 years. Even now I still search for meaning in my life. I want to fulfill the contract that was made before I came here.

Yes, I know you are thinking" what contract". I believe we all came here with a mission. For me that mission is to just be Brenda. But that's mighty hard to do, isn't it. We spend all our lives learning to be like everyone else and then realize one day you have been living a lie.

So I have decided to surrender to the longing in my heart to free myself from the chains of being like everyone else. I know this won't be easy but I'm ready to take the leap.

So here I go on the road of discovery to release the little girl I once knew!

Can we ever get enough stuff in our lives? Can there ever be any peace in our lives when all we think about is what we can get next? Even our children have become like us.
So out we go to get the next toy they want. Anything to make them think we are the best parents on planet earth. They are so happy until they want a different toy.
We are not content either. We want more all the time. Will we ever have enough so that we can be happy? No! We can never get enough because what we really want cannot be brought. I believe we seek to know our creator. There is this longing inside of us that beckons us to seek our higher callings. And believe me a new toy won't satisfy this longing.
Are we willing to give up our toys to live a more spiritual life?
We need to save our children from the give me more demon, but first dear ones we must free ourselves.
Are we willing to give away what we don't need anymore?
Do we really need more clothes?
As I look around my home all I see is clutter, stuff I thought I couldn't live without. But non of it has satisfied me and non of it ever will.
I'm on a journey my dear friends. A journey to find my soul.

COMPASSION IS WHAT WE NEED

Are there other people that are tired of the ping pong game in Washington, DC? While they play games we the people continue to suffer.
I also think it's time to take a sabbatical from the news media. It doesn't really matter which network. The stress that is associated with looking at the evening news is so unhealthy for us.
It's time that we the people begin to take a look at what's happening in our communities. There is work to do. We cannot expect the gamers in Washington to create change in our communities. As "Gandhi" would say WE MUST BECOME THE CHANGE WE WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD. YES IT'S YOU AND ME THAT MUST CHANGE.

What can we do to create change in our community?
  • Find out who the elderly are and find out what they need.
  • Offer to mow their lawns for free.
  • Offer to shovel their driveway when it snows for free.
  • Make sure they have enough food and medicine.
  • Offer to rake their leaves for free.
  • Find out what the needs of the children in your neighborhood are;
  • Do they need help with homework
  • Do they need a new coat and gloves so that they are warm.
  • Maybe they need therapy and their parents can't afford it.

I could go on and on, but I think you get the message. Stop waiting for THEM to do something. Let us do something.

P.S. I AM FOR A PEACEFUL WORLD
